A Friend of God - Through Sorrow and Grief, Joy and Laughter
What is the best way to process trauma, grief, or even loss? Over the years, my family and I have experienced two life-threatening health diagnosises, multiple miscarriages, and an almost full-term pregnancy loss.
As a believer in the Messiah, living through and healing from them to a degree, I have found that at your lowest point when you feel like the Father has left you, is the very point that He is the closest to you. If you are a believer in Christ, and you are experiencing trials, please know you are not alone.
At times the Lord sent us help: an angel visitation, several miraculous healings, a whirlwind... but not always.
Sometimes we had to endure the pain as our hearts broke, trusting our good Heavenly Father, knowing He would work things out for our good (Romans 8:28).
By clinging to the Father instead of letting go of Him, He pulled us through every time. We are more in love with Him today than ever before. He is faithful. He is good.
I have found that it is not about the trials, because Jesus said they would come (John 16:33). But it is how you handle the trials as God's friend that makes all the difference.
Chapter 1 - My Love for Children
The Father led me to begin a series by reading the book I published chapter by chapter in bite size pieces. It includes many trials we’ve faced, but also many miracles the Father has blessed us with too! (Miscarriages, job loss, health diagnosis, but also healings, demonic deliverance and more).

Chapter 2 - Instability and Lots of Change (But also a healing miracle!)
I have noticed that under such circumstances, the Father enjoys growing our faith in Him! He also blessed me with an intense thyroid healing!! Such an amazing experience, thank you Father!!
Chapter 3 - Angel Visitation and the Separation
The Father sent an angel one evening to speak with our son, Zachariah. We also noticed a distinct division happening between us and many of our friends as the Father kept drawing us closer to Him.
Chapter 4 - Baby John and Snowflakes from Heaven
What a sweet boy he was… and what an amazing hug the Father gave me!
Chapter 5 - Julia Rose
Our precious baby girl.
Chapter 6 - Salvation and the Transformation
Watching the transformation of our precious daughter Julia when she asked the Messiah to be her Savior was astounding!!
Chapter 7 - Baby Esther
She was such a sweetie.
Chapter 8 - The Whirlwind and Miraculous Healing
The Father has come in whirlwinds in the Bible, but I never thought He would visit us in a whirlwind!! And what a beautiful healing He has provided our daughter to this day!! All glory to Yahweh!
Chapter 9 - Bonfire and a Good Show
The Father allowed us to completely burn the remains of Satan’s previous attack. It was so fulfilling!
Chapter 10 - Double for Our Trouble
My desire to have twins.
Chapter 11 - Hard Questions and Clear Answers
After losing so many babies in the womb, I had some hard questions for the Father. He answered loud and clear.
Chapter 12 - Cross Country Move by Faith
What an amazing journey of faith in the Father this was! At times, He has ways of stretching us and seeing what is in us, under fire.
Chapter 13 - Living on a Budget and Job Instability
I’m sure some of you have been here. Living humbly like this brought us to our knees and our faith grew substantially during this season. He is ever faithful and He always provides!
Chapter 14 - Another Diagnosis and More Angels
Satan prowls around all the time, but if we keep the armor of God on, he cannot devour us.
Chapter 15 - The “Bug House” and Answered Prayer
Trials often bring us to prayer. They certainly did for us during this season of our lives, and Yahweh showed up in a big way!
Chapter 16 - Florida and Another Miracle
Our move from NC to FL was a left hand turn from the Father, but shortly after arriving, He had a miracle surprise waiting for us!
Chapter 17 - We Were So Close
After years of multiple miscarriages, we were so close to our due date with Baby James, but the Father was ever faithful through it all.
Chapter 18 - Learning to Have Grace
In the aftermath of losing Baby James, the Father taught me a lot about having grace with others as I healed.
Chapter 19 - In This World You Will Have Trouble
Followers of Yahweh will have pain and trials in this life, but we are to trust Him and give Him glory even through the tears. He has a plan and He loves us dearly.
Chapter 20 - Count it All Joy
As we follow Yahweh, we will face many tests and trials. This is Biblical. As we do, we should count them as joy. These tests and trials bring us closer to Yahweh, and we can also give Him the glory as He brings us through each one, every time.
