2 Corinthians 6:14-18

In this Bible study, I explain what Yahweh says about the Sabbath commandment, and how keeping it on the seventh day is an everlasting covenant between Yahweh and His followers forever (Exodus 31).

I cover some early Christian church history as well as some common theories of how the Sabbath was moved to Sunday, concluding with ample Biblical support that Yahweh never moved the Sabbath to Sunday. (Exodus 20, Leviticus 23)

I also go over our family's testimony of leaving Sunday morning worship and learning to keep the Sabbath holy instead. Our obedience to Yahweh in this commandment has been such a blessing!

Exodus 31:12-17

In this Bible study, I begin with Part 1 of why my family and I no longer celebrate Christmas and why.

We define sin (1 John 3:4) and also what an abomination is to Yahweh (Deuteronomy 18).

We cover many of the beloved Christmas traditions one by one, and hold their origins up against Scripture to see whether they are considered abominations to Yahweh or whether they would be fine to keep as a believer in Messiah.

In this Bible study, we pick up with Part 2 of why my family and I no longer celebrate Christmas and why.

We discuss the meaning of subjective and objective truth, and the dangers of creating subjective truth around you as a believer in Messiah. (Prov 14:12)

We cover what syncretism is and also how Yeshua speaks against this in the Book of Revelation when He addresses the Nicolaitans. (Rev 2:6-7, 14-17)

We finish by discussing how the Christian churches have used both subjective truth and syncretism to allow Christmas into the church. We wrap up with our family’s testimony of leaving Christmas all together.

We discuss the origin of birthdays as well as study out the various birthday celebrations in the Bible, to see if this is something we as believers in Yahweh should participate in.

We circle back to Yeshua’s birthday and whether as believers in Messiah we should actually celebrate His birth at all, according to Scripture. (Deu 4:2)
